We were blessed to have Joe Sofair as our tour guide to take us around Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee to see all the sites as mentioned in the Bible. Joe took time to take us to all the sites of the area and we were extremely happy with the day's events. Joe's historical and Biblical knowledge was enthralling and kept us well interested. Our drive along the Jordanian border was wonderful, with great scenery and winding roads from the top of the Golan to the valley below. We also enjoyed a pre-booked boat trip with Joe on the Sea of Galilee from Ginnosar. The trip was fabulous and a highlight of our trip. We have no hesitation to recommend Joe to anyone who wishes to acquire his services.

The Israel Tour Guide Extraordinaire
On our recent seven day trip to Israel we were fortunate to find and engage the services of Joe Sofair to be our Tour Guide and travel organiser.
Our stay was limited and as I had been to Israel before and my wife and teenage children had not, there was a lot that I wanted to share with them.
Joe’s knowledge of all things biblical from both the Old and New testaments and the connections of those texts to places and significant sites was nothing short of astounding.
Joe integrated the sites of significance of all faiths and historical inhabitants into a concise interesting package of an incredible number of places, sites and stories of interest from the Golan in the north to the Dead Sea and a literally exhaustive number of places in between, including Yad Vashem, Masada and Jerusalem[old and new].
Not only did Joe show us, educate us and guide us, he also organised all our accommodation needs and culinary experiences.
Our 13 year old daughter and 17 year old son were engaged and interested, keeping our son enthralled with his knowledge of the military history of the country and how it operates today.

I enjoyed a remarkable tour of the Golan Heights with Joe. I told him my interests were historical and political. We toured the heights from the south to the Druze villages in the north.
Joe's intimate knowledge of the land and it's history made for a very fulfilling day.

Joe was our tour guide and also travel organiszer for two days around Tiberias, Sea of Galilee, Zafed, Golan (up to the Syrian border), Nazareth and finally Akko.
We had limited time to visit as many points of interest as possible and Joe was able to help us building a very compact itinerary.
Joe has an astonishing knowledge of the history of this country. He gave us the opporunity to link all the biblic texts we have read so many times with the places we visited. This adds a fantastic dimension to the trip.
Joe was also our guide to a great culinary experience, bringing us to restaurants and even to a wine producer in Golan for a great wine tasting.
We would recommend Joe Sofair without hesitation to anybody willing to share great moments in Israel.

We had Joe as our tour guide for southern Israel around Masada as well as for a quick trip into Jerusalem. We really enjoyed Joe's friendly easy-going manner always evident in his personality. We found Joe to be very informative over history, archaeology, religion and even astronomy.
We travelled with our two kids (13 and 10) who felt very comfortable talking to and asking Joe any questions - Joe's explanations were suitably placed at their level and also ours.

We arranged a tour of the Christian sites around the Sea of Galilee for visiting guests from the USA with Joe Sofair from Galilee Private Tours.
It was a wonderful, memorable and extremely inspirational day. He is very knowledgeable and was able to bring to life the history and events of the region.
Joe is a native English speaker , friendly, funny and accommodating. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more and I would highly recommend Joe as a guide.
